United Parcel Services (UPS) and FedEx are already in India. DHL Excel Supply Chain & Global Forwarding is in India.
Its CEO said, Indian logistics market is around 33 billion euros. By 2015 it will reach 90 billion euros with 11% growth rate. Increase in manufacturing will drive growth in logistics.
DHL has a JVDHL Lemuir Logistics Pvt. Ltd.
Indian logistics spend is 13% of GDP. It is twice high compared to developed countries. So there is lot of scope to improve logistics sector to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
